Lindsay Lohan wants to run for President in 2020

lindsay-lohanWe’re still a year away from the 2016 presidential election, but the 2020 race is already heating up. Lindsay Lohan is throwing her hat in the ring for President in 2020. Lohan joins fellow celeb Kanye West in what may become a ridiculous fad before much longer. Lohan announced her ambition on Instagram.

West announced  he would run for President in 2020 at the 2015 MTV VMAs

“In #2020 I may run for president,” Lohan, 29, captioned the pic. “Through ups and downs #YESWECAN lets do this @kanyewest #truespirits thank you for inspiring us to be better people @barackobama #kanyewest2020 #lindsaylohanat35 #lindsaylohan2020 with #34yearsofEXPERIENCE #unitingWORLDnations”

Apparently her platform would include taking care of all the suffering children of the world.

Lohan who has faced numerous rehab stints and arrests, moved to London to make her West End debut in Speed-the-Plow, and said earlier this year that she wanted to apply for British citizenship, something she can’t pursue if she’s serious about her U.S. presidential bid.

It might be a good idea for Lohan to start acting like an adult before announcing any political ambitions, not to mention she will be 34 years old in 2020, a little short of the 35 year old age requirement to be President of the United States, but hey maybe she can get that changed. She is however Lindsay Lohan.

Taylor Swift Halloween Concert Set for Tampa

taylor swiftPop music goddess Taylor Swift will be playing at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Halloween on Oct. 31. The Tampa Sports Authority is taking a risk, in hopes of a big payday, because the authority had to offer Swift a $2.75 million guarantee to win a date on her “1989 World Tour.” If the show sells out, Swift would earn $928,000 on top of the $2.75 million guarantee and thus assuring the Tampa Sports Authority of a $700,000 payday which they would have to split with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers under terms of their operating agreement with the authority.

The 1989 Tour still has a few weeks to run and is a rousing success, bringing in a mind-boggling $173 million from 59 concerts over 17 weeks. According to Billboard, Swift’s latest album “1989” just spent its 49th consecutive week in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart.

1989 sold 1,287,000 its first week — that’s more than the sum of the next 100 titles on the Billboard 200 (for the same week) combined for sales week ending Nov. 2, according to Nielsen Music.

Swift will close her “1989” World Tour this December in Australia and is said to be looking forward to spending some time with her mom, who is her confidant and comforter.

“If you let your anxiety get the better of you, like everybody’s waiting for you to really mess up, then you’ll be done,” Swift explains. “A lot of the time I call my mom and talk for a really long time, just to remind myself of all the things that are great and that matter.”

Erin Andrews seeks $75 million in peephole video lawsuit

erin-andrewsErin Andrews filed a suit in Nashville Circuit Court back in December 2011, Marriott International and several other defendants. The The suit claims the defendants were guilty of negligence and invasion of privacy after a stalker named Michael David Barrett managed to film her through her peephole.

Police said in 2009 that Barrett made up to eight separate videos and posted them online, officials said Barrett even tried to sell the footage to TMZ.

On Tuesday the amount Andrews, Fox NFL sideline reporter is seeking in the suit was revealed – $75 million. The news was first reported by The Smoking Gun.

Andrews’s attorneys reportedly filed a revised version of the original suit earlier this week in Davidson County (Tenn.) Circuit Court. The initial lawsuit, filed in 2010 and amended in 2011, asked for $10 million and made similar claims.

Andrews holds that the hotel chain is ultimately to blame because its employees told Barrett she was staying at the hotel, gave him her room number and even booked him into the room next door to hers, according to Fox News.

The trial is set to begin in February. Her lawyers and the defendants expect the trial to last just 10 days.

  • New Twilight novel released with a twist

New Twilight novel released with a twist

New Twilight NovelFans of Edward and Bella are jumping for joy today. The author of the iconic Twilight novels has released her newest work, Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined, which is available today as bonus material in the 10th anniversary edition of Twilight.  The 10th anniversary edition of Twilight is available online and in bookstores across the nation today.

Author Stephanie Meyer says that the new Twilight novel is based on the previous books with one notable twist: the genders of the main characters have been swapped. Edythe is a female vampire that falls in love with human boy Beau.

Meyer penned all the four books in the original Twilight series, all of which reached number one on USA Today’s Best Selling Books List. She also saw her books turned into movie masterpieces with the two main characters played by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in the film adaptations. The movies took in a combined box office total of more than $1 billion.

The front cover of the anniversary edition has the familiar Twilight image while the back cover swaps the red apple with a green one. The green apple is held in one male hand instead of two female hands. A small image of the back cover has been placed on the front cover to ensure fans know they are getting the right edition of the book.

Meyer’s idea for the new novel came from her desire to do something fun for the 10th anniversary. With the gender swap in the new novel, the basic love story remains roughly the same. The personalities of the main characters are different, but it remains a story about a boy and a girl falling in love against the odds.

Now that her original fans are ten years older, Meyer is hoping that the new novel will attract a new audience. When asked if she believed the new novel will ever be turned into a movie, she said that she thinks its unlikely.

Selena Gomez Moves Past Illness – ‘Revival’ Heading for No. 1

selena gomezSelena Gomez is on track to earn her second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with her latest release, Revival.

Industry observers are predicting the set, which was released on Oct. 9 through Interscope Records. may move upwards of 110,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Oct. 15.

    Good for her !

This after published reports detailed her diagnosis and battle with Lupus.

In a recent interview with Billboard Magazine, pop star Selena Gomez revealed that she has lupus. She reportedly underwent chemotherapy to treat the autoimmune disease. Rumors about the singer’s lupus diagnosis circulated in early 2014, but this is the first time that Gomez has publicly commented on having the disease.

Around the time Gomez was likely diagnosed with lupus, she canceled several appearances for her Stars Dance tour and stepped out of the spotlight for a bit. The cancellations stirred up gossip that the pop singer might be struggling with some type of addiction. At the time, she did not respond to the rumors.

The previous rumors of an addiction problem were further fueled by Gomez’s entry into a rehabilitation program. At the time, the singer’s rep even confirmed she was receiving treatment at Dawn at the Meadows Recovery Facility in Wickenburg, AZ. However, her rep denied that she was being treated for substance abuse and addiction, instead indicating that Gomez was seeking treatment for emotional issues, as well as for partying.

Gomez reports feeling hurt by all the negative speculation on whether or not she was dealing with a substance abuse problem when she was actually struggling with lupus.

The pop singer is not alone in her lupus diagnosis. Approximately 1.5 million Americans have been diagnosed with the disease. It is most common in women who are between 15 and 44 years of age.

According to Dr. Joan Merrill with the Lupus Foundation of America, “There can be an increased risk of…strokes, blood clotting in the legs or even heart attacks.”

Mild cases of the disease can be treated with anti-inflammatory or immunosuppressant drugs such as steroids or aspirin. More serious cases require chemotherapy.

In addition to discussing her lupus diagnosis and treatment during the interview, Gomez also opened up about struggling with her self-esteem. She admits to having a hard time dealing with hurtful comments posted on the Internet earlier this year. “I was in a bikini and got publicly ripped for being overweight,” she says. “That was the first time I’d experienced body shaming like that.” Gomez says she has since been working in therapy and is feeling more confident now.

She even posed nude on the cover of her new album, Revival.
